As a centre for specialist palliative care we are committed to providing education opportunities for our own team and also other health service providers who are looking after people with life limiting illnesses. We provide learning opportunities in a number of ways, including workshops, breakfast sessions and smaller group sessions.
Our Nurse Educator works with other trainers and delivers the Hospice NZ Palliative Care Modules and Syringe Driver Training for palliative care providers Northland wide.
This series of ten sessions, endorsed by Hospice New Zealand, and delivered by experienced local specialist palliative care nurses, has been designed to add value to practice by providing staff involved in palliative care with key principles, understanding & knowledge.
We are currently able to offer another course of Fundamentals to ARC facilities and carers.
