Bereavement Support
Following the death of one of our patients the Bereavement Support. Co-ordinator keeps in touch with the bereaved family, initially sending condolences by way of a personalized card.
A phone call is made within 10 days of the death, followed by follow-up phone calls where necessary.
The Bereavement Support Co-ordinator liaises with the chaplain and the counselor if the family needs further professional help.
“Time for a Cuppa”, Coffee mornings and Memorial services are part of our after-care support system for families.
