North Haven Hospice is entering an exciting period of investment for growth. A well-known and supported charitable and social enterprise, North Haven Hospice was established in 1985 and serves people living with a life limiting illness, their families and whānau in the Whangārei and south Kaipara communities as well as providing the only hospice in-patient unit for all of Te Tai Tokerau Northland.

Payroll & Accounts Administrator
We are looking for a Payroll and Accounts Administrator to join our team for 30 – 35 hours per week.
Nature of the role / te āhuatanga o te tūranga
As a Payroll and Accounts Administrator your key responsibilities will be:
- Loading and processing the fortnightly payroll for up to 100 staff.
- Manage outgoing and incoming finances.
- Use accounting software (Xero) to handle financial transactions and reporting.
- Respond to supplier and public enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintain up – to – date records.
- Ensure compliance with the Holidays Act and all relevant payroll regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual reports (when requested)
What you will bring / ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūranga
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- 3 plus years of experience in a similar accounts role.
- Experience loading and processing a payroll for 20+ employees
- Strong proficiency with Xero or similar accounting software.
- Knowledge of records management and online tools, including IRD systems.
- Familiarity with payroll legislation and compliance, including the Holidays Act.
- Diligence, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
