North Haven Hospice is committed to supporting the development of knowledge, skills and confidence for all those caring for people with a terminal illness or life-limiting condition. Assessment and management of pain and other symptoms are the cornerstones of effective, palliative care.
In addition to the Hospice NZ courses below, we offer targeted education for health care workers. This is holistic in approach and designed to be interactive, inclusive and collaborative. We are happy to discuss individual needs and also work with you to design a programme for your organisation.

Provided by Hospice New Zealand and offering online courses, a resource library, and palliative care online lectures and recordings.
Designed for any healthcare worker, registered and non-registered staff caring for people with a palliative care need.
Theoretical and practical, interactive experience to assist Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to safely manage continuous subcutaneous infusions.
Designed for health care professionals with an interest in palliative care, these lectures feature knowledge-sharing by palliative care experts from throughout New Zealand and the world.
